Jennifer Hansen

Professional Counselor in Colorado Springs

LPC, Colorado

Choosing to begin therapy is a meaningful step toward greater self-awareness, healing, and personal growth. Jennifer believes therapy is a collaborative process where clients can explore the root causes of emotional and relational struggles, gain insight into recurring patterns, and create lasting change.

Jennifer works with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves as they navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and low self-worth. Many of her clients feel caught between who they've learned to become in order to survive and the person they want to be. Therapy offers an opportunity to reconnect with your own voice, strengthen your confidence, and live more authentically.

Grounded in Gestalt therapy and integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Jennifer helps clients develop greater self-awareness, authenticity, and accountability. Gestalt therapy is rooted in the belief that healing comes from becoming more fully integrated—or "whole." Through increased awareness, clients can better understand themselves, break unhelpful patterns, and move forward with greater confidence.

Jennifer is also trained in the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM), providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or periods of intense emotional distress.

Every person's story is unique, and therapy should reflect that. Jennifer tailors each session to your experiences, strengths, and goals, helping you build on your strengths, navigate life's challenges, and create meaningful change. If you're considering therapy, Jennifer welcomes the opportunity to see if working together is the right fit for your needs.
