Ryan Mannschreck

Counselor in Colorado Springs

LPCC, Colorado

Ryan is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) serving adults, adolescents, and couples in Colorado Springs. She works with clients navigating life transitions, exploring identity and purpose, managing anxiety or depression, and developing a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered Therapy, rooted in the belief that every individual possesses the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. Ryan creates a collaborative, compassionate environment where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and authenticity. She also integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Existential Therapy, Play Therapy, and creative interventions to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals.

Ryan's international background significantly influences her clinical perspective. Originally from a small town in Oklahoma, she spent more than a decade living and studying throughout East Asia. These experiences fostered a deep appreciation for culture, identity, and the diverse ways people find meaning in their lives. She especially enjoys working with multicultural clients, immigrants, expatriates, third-culture individuals, and anyone exploring how personal, cultural, or family experiences have shaped who they are today.

She has specialized training in child and adolescent mental health, cross-cultural counseling, creative interventions, and sex and couples therapy. Ryan enjoys helping clients navigate questions surrounding identity, purpose, relationships, culture, creativity, sexuality, and major life transitions through a collaborative, globally informed therapeutic approach.

Creativity plays a central role in both Ryan's personal life and her clinical work. Outside the therapy office, she enjoys a variety of arts and crafts, with a particular passion for practicing Shodo, the traditional Japanese art of calligraphy. She believes creativity can foster insight, resilience, and healing in ways that words alone sometimes cannot. When appropriate, she incorporates art, imagination, and experiential exercises into therapy to help clients connect with themselves in meaningful ways.

At the heart of Ryan's work is the belief that people are capable of remarkable growth when they experience genuine support, understanding, and acceptance. Whether clients are seeking relief from current challenges, exploring who they are, or pursuing a more meaningful and fulfilling life, Ryan is honored to walk alongside them on their journey toward healing and personal growth.
