We’re excited to welcome Katherine Roberts, LPCC to the Dynamic Counseling team — bringing compassionate care, thoughtful depth, and trauma-informed expertise to individuals seeking meaningful healing.

Who Is Katherine Roberts?

Katherine joins our team as a licensed professional counselor with a heart for helping clients move beyond overwhelm, stuck patterns, and past wounds. She integrates trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR into her work, tailoring every treatment plan to each person’s unique journey.

Her areas of specialization include:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Grief and life transitions

  • Individual and couples counseling

Katherine’s approach is collaborative and strengths-based — guiding clients to build resilience, clarity, and a greater sense of empowerment as they work through what has held them back.

What Does EMDR Add to Trauma Therapy?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-supported therapy that helps the brain process and integrate traumatic memories that have become “stuck” — allowing clients to experience less emotional intensity around past hurts and more freedom in the present.

Unlike traditional talk therapy alone, EMDR:

  • Facilitates processing trauma without reliving every detail

  • Promotes the brain’s natural healing mechanisms

  • Is effective for PTSD, anxiety, depression, and many trauma-related symptoms

  • Can lead to noticeable improvements in fewer sessions for many people

Bringing EMDR into her clinical work means Katherine can help individuals unravel patterns tied to distressing experiences — while always moving at a pace that feels safe and empowering.

Why This Matters for Your Healing

Trauma can show up in many forms — from overt events like accidents or violence, to chronic stress, relational injuries, or emotional loss. Yet trauma therapy doesn’t have to mean retelling the past in painful detail. With trained clinicians like Katherine on our team, clients can work toward healing that honors both the story and the nervous system — helping people feel safer in their bodies, more grounded in the present, and more hopeful about the future.

Whether you’re curious about how trauma and EMDR therapy could help you, or you’re ready to schedule a session, Katherine is here to join you with expertise, empathy, and deep respect for your journey.
